They now propagate light. It's not quite perfect yet (the far side of the glass is dark), but it's getting there. Slowly. :)

In other news, I rejoined a mod team I was with back in my Half-Life days (oh, so long ago...) who's porting their project to Torque. I'm working with the very talented Mark Mozynski on it, and things are starting to shape up nicely. A good percentage of the art is already done and just needs to have the poly count upped / converted to .dts. Not to mention it's a great team. Man, it's so nice having artists again... :)

If you need a beta tester again, let me know... ;) I'm sure you will get this to work!
What approach do you use now? Do you treat them as portals now, or some "combination" of entities?

Beffy: They're just not included in the shadow volume calculations, which essentially removes them from the lightmap calculations.

Hey james, this is looking really cool man. Once you tweak this up, are you planning on releasing this as a code snippet (I think I might have already asked you this, but I can't remember :) )?

Is it inside the interiors only or can you have a window looking out to terrain, and does the light go throught the trans onto terrain?
