Its still Hot as hell over here. I got my portable fan blowing in my PC tp revent my vid card from overheating. My DSL connection goes out when it gets too hot...think my ISP is having the same problems I'm having :)
General Progress
=======================
Just finished an update of our web site with some new screenshots, new additions to our team, and added a level designer position on our help wanted section. The new shots look much better over the older ones, to say the least.
Just made an update of our game doc to cover some new animations needed for later, new weapon additions and edits, and a basic walkthrough of setting up a player, joining a game, etc. Also made an update of our objectives document, which checks off areas in development we have completed, or worked on. It also includes a game build report on what new features have been added, what has been started, what has bugs, and what is planned for the next version. Also made updates to what sound fx and concepts need to be completed.
Creative Progress
========================
One of our new artists and I have started remodeling the weapons to get a common level of detail as opposed to teh old hi and lo res system. Going to start mapping and skinning them this week. Also, with the addition of a sound fx creator, we are starting to get some original sounds for the weapons and player movments :)
We also have a new mapper joining us, who is working on redoing the current map. I'm not really too keen on using our first game as practice for my learning to do maps. We're going to attemps to create one or two tutorial levels for when we complete the demo, one consisting of a basic movement level, and the other an obstacle course and shooting range. It will get interesting when we get into scripting...
I still have more work to do on the models. Just recieved some new concepts that need to be converted...I have no idea when I'm gonna get to all that, but I'll have to soon, as its going to be for the current map. Damn, I need a schedule :(
Programming Progress
===========================
Going a little slower here at the moment. Our lead coder is getting his PC back up running after hard drive death, one other is still on vacation, the other is moving, and yet another is returning to school, and will be offline for a while. Not to mention, we have some nice big bugs to work out. We have gotten different player types in the game, loading up with different weapons and characteristics, but we seem to be having a problem that, from what looks like it, stems back from an earlier issue we had in development that caused oddities with reloading and ammo being shared between players. Its causing a player's homing missile to hit the one firing (too long to explain, but we are actualy going to try and use somthing like this in the game as a type of equipment a player can use), and the muzzle flash of a weapons to show up on another player when another if firing. Hopefully once our programmers return, we can resolve this.

I'm no programmer, but I think when we solved the earlier problems, we just solved syptoms, not the overall cause, and then when new stuff was added, this occurred. I really can't wait to get over this...

I notice that you have comming soon on several options on the website...most I do not need at the moment but I figured that as you guys get closer and closer to a beta a forum would be the first thing that you bring up...any plans for this soon
I also notice that you haven't started any payment page...would it be possible to set up some sort of advanced purchase...I would be very interested
