Plan for Aaron Davenport

My priorities have shifted back to my project at work having more focus (which means once again that my work is finding its way home).

(Work) I am beginning to see the benefits and limitations of having a project with a large company.

Benefit, the amount of resources that can be thrown at a project.

Limitation, the amount of resources that can be thrown at a project.

The initial intention of my "side project" at work was to allow me to explore my interest in 3D modeling and programming while at work (for my home project). But, now that I have a demo running the "meetings" have begun. I have been asked to show the demo to a number of different areas who so far all see this as something they can use and already want. Now, my small tool that I was originally going to complete mostly by myself is starting to look like it may explode into a huge undertaking. It hasn't been finalized yet, but one of the departments that I gave a presentation for wants to use the tool, but ofcourse, it would have a small focus change which would increase the size of the project (multiple product lines), this means I may become project manager of a team.

Honestly, this is my first real experience with one of my ideas taking off, this is great but very scary at the same time.

(Home) Due to the snowball that seems to be rolling downhill at work I am finding less time to work on my home project. I am going to try to keep from focusing on only one project, but I wish I was a bit further along than I am on TEMP. I really like the Torque Engine but haven't been able to find the time to work with it as much as I would like.
