Plan for Nick Palmer

The games community seems ready to have real orchestral music as the underscore for suitable games. Having my first taste of writing for a game, I want more of it and I hope I can get my foot further in the door by offering the services of Midwestern (Michigan) musicians and technicians at rates substantially lower than those found on the coasts. My first steps have been taken-- I have developed working relationships with a number of players and audio techs in the region; I know the staff of the symphony and am on the payroll; I've researched the costs of recording a 40-piece orchestra; I think I'm ready for phase 2. That is, of course, getting the game gig and doing it.

You can find prices at www.nicholaspalmer.com/filmmusic.html. My fees are negotiable, but on that page you'll find what it costs to hire an orchestra.
