Plan for Kenneth

We're slowly perfecting the message of Tubettiworld: it's about player interaction at multiple levels. You can see the results of the process here: www.tubettiworld.com at the new web site home page. The site still has a few more hours work to be done on it.

We're also in the process of formalizing the involvement of many team members, with clearer definition of roles. Another week or two and we will be in good shape I think.

Finally, preparations for CGDC 2002 are underway. Not extensive, but I do want to make sure I don't forget anything.

I think this is one of the most promising and creative games in development on GarageGames. From what I have read and seen, it is not a standard, MMOG. Kennith's posts indicate to me that this game is not only possible, but probable. Ken, please make sure you see us when you come to CGDC. Email me at jefft@garagegames.com to set up a time.

Steve:

If you see MMORPG anywhere in what I've written, that's my error in delivery. Neither 'Massiveness' nor 'RPG' are expressed goals of this endeavour; elements of each may arise as artifacts of design and implementation.

Jeff:

Thanks. I certainly have that on my to-do list.

PS. It's Kenneth, but I go by Ken. Maybe I should change my name in my profile...

Hey nice work so far. It is looking great. I do have a question to you, or to Jeff, as I seem confused right now.

It seems that in games other than our own, created from Torque, that the Visibility Fog seems much less in the screenshots that are shown.

Now I know that the amount of fog is adjustable in the map editor but I'm mainly talking about the fog that is produced to limit the viewable distance. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks.

I'm not technical, maybe somebody else can answer this.

You can edit that, too. It's likewise in the editor; you can set the 'viewable distance' and separately set the fog distance. If you want, you can see all the way to the 'edge' of the world, although it's not really reccomended.
