Thanks for all the effort and many hours that you've put in for MIT, Ron.

It's always better to know when to reel back in than blow a gasket. ;)

Great blog Ron, I was always very impressed by your work and the effort you and the committee does.

I know the issue with time very well, I am glad you have been able to readjust your efforts and keep your head up.

Looking forward to seeing some more of your packs to come out :-).

Do you also do contract art work?

Bloody hell!

Thanks Ron, for everything you've done (together with Michael and Dave W) toward making T3D what it is today. This engine has come so far in the short time it's been under MIT, and I know how much energy you put into that.

To be completely honest, as long as I've known you you've put the community ahead of yourself, and I for one think it's about time you turned that around. So while this news comes as a bit of a shock, and the T3D steering committee will now work less effectively, I see this as good news. Each of us (community members) has something to offer the rest, albeit in some small way, and having you doing what you enjoy doing (while also paying the rent and feeding your family) can only benefit the rest of us.

I wish you and Trisha the best of luck with Three Tier Digital and look forward to seeing some more content (where's my bloody cave pack?!) from you in the not-too-distant future.

You've provided the push that made me join the T2D Steering committee; I will always be grateful for this.

The situation you're in seems to be relatively common in the community as well. Keep writing about your experience, it's very enlightening.

Can't wait to hear more about your future projects!

It's always a pleasure working with you, even if I'm not at GG anymore. I can't wait to see what you do next!

@Ron
You may say, that you are not a great artist, but your work is some of the few artwork done with Torque that comes fairly close to the good mainstream things, so maybe the best art in the community so far.

Of course the game industry is changing fast and a very competitive business and it is hard to keep up with that as a single person, so it is understandable that you need more time for that.

@Steve, Thanks! Yes, I was getting close to 'burn out'. Please keep up the great work you are doing! Also, thanks for testing stuff for the Steering Committee. I have followed your work for YEARS and you are an inspiration to me.

@Kory, Thank you!

@Dan, Thanks for your support. You HAVE always told me to focus more on my own work. You were right and I was not.

@Richard, Thank you as well.

@Simon, dude.... I have been following your work for a long time. You deserve a spot because you are skilled. Thanks for saying what you did but, your work has always been good and your continued dedication is what lead you to your position. Don't give up and I will keep watching. T2D is an amazing product and I LOVE where you guys are going.

@Francisco, Thank you and I am glad you like my work!

@Terry, Trust me, I will NOT be going away from the community. I hope that my efforts (on the personal side) will help the overall community. I am NOT giving up on T3D in any way!

@J0linar, Thank you! Keep up your good work and I hope to see MUCH more from you!

@Micheal, What can I say? I will miss our meetings! I learned a whole lot from you! Hold the T3D flag high brother! I will try to get back, if you all should want me.

@DMB, Thank you for your continued support! I hope all is well and that you have found something that pushes you forward in this industry. I could have NEVER gotten a product in the GG store without your help. You are missed.

@Duion, Wow, thanks for the kind words, I would not agree fully. I am a decent artist but, I can improve. We are getting near 'mainstream' level work but, this has been a community effort, not just me. You have a great skill level as well! Please hang in there and keep up the GREAT work!
Either way, thank you! I do like to hear that others enjoy what I try to do.

@EVERYONE,

Thank you all! I was not expecting this level of feedback in any way, shape or form. Honestly, I did not think anyone really noticed anything I did (other than the occasional video.) I sincerely apologize to everyone! It was my mistakes that caused this issue and I really struggled with the choices I made. However, you have provided the inspiration to keep me moving forward. WE ARE T3D!

Ron

I appreciate I'm a bit behind, but I would also like to add my thanks.

Additionally you've just made a new customer too! I'll be honest having focused a bit more on the T2D side I appear to have completely missed your site. I look forward to seeing what you do next and wish you all the best with it.

Ron, thanks for everything, also for the help at the Neptun Pack with the caustic shader and parallax textures. Always find your tips/mails very helpfully.

Wish you all the luck for your projects.
