Forester Pro - Autumn Trees

Forester Pro is a tree model generator for Windows that exports models in the format required by Torque3D including LODs, collision meshes and bounds boxes. Models created with Forester Pro import directly into the world editor of Torque3D with no fuss.

We decided to create Forester Pro because no other tree generator did what we wanted. We wanted not only to be able to make random trees of numerous different types, but also to be able to pose models by moving branches and leaves, we wanted to be able to apply deformation functions to models, and to export them easily to Torque3D and for them to work, with forest objects and wind effects, straight away.

We are now working on new tree template packs for Forester Pro to give you even more tree types you can make (currently there are 40). Each template includes textures and tree structures that allow you to make a huge variety of randomized models.

Just to illustrate the variety you can achieve using a single tree template, we've taken our Autumn London Plane template, one of six released in our new Autumn Tree Template Pack 1, and just changed a few of the properties of the template, such as branch pitch angle, length, and spawn heights, to generate the variety of models shown below. This lot took us around 30 minutes to create and export.


Then we can just copy and paste the export directories, which also contain the Torque3D script files written by Forester Pro, into our game directory and assign them to a forest brush, and 20 minutes later you have the scenes below:

Forester Pro can be downloaded from our website and the unregistered version includes seven different tree types. The registered version is $40 and template packs are $10 each. The registered version also allows you to add your own textures and templates to make truly original trees.
