Torque seems to be the closest thing I've seen for creating a realtime 3D environment on my Mac.

Haven't comitted to licence yet.

Seriously man, are you nuts? What the hell is there to consider? Mac stuff is the most overpriced gear in the business. I figure most of you mac'ers aren't too strapped for c-notes. Are you kiddin' me? :)

Basically, Mac has squat for 3D games, and Linux has less. (with the exception of a Linux server for gameplay(which does rule)). Both of these platforms have big time locked up potential. People who develop for Mac and Linux can be the first to create excellent 3D "indie devoloped" games on those systems. In other words, you could own a bigger percentage of the market. Do the math.

Flat out, the TGE is a cross platform, PROFESSIONAL, 3D game engine that contends with the big boys. The liscensing terms are unbeatable. Find me a better deal, and I'll buy 10 of 'em.

Sorry to preach, brotha, but I've read buttloads of these "I don't know if I want to spend $100" posts. If you can't afford a hundred bucks for this open source tool your software probably sucks and you couldn't make use of it anyway

Do the right thing: buy the freaking engine.

See you around
