Treading new ground

Hey all, this is my first blog post on the Garage Games Forums, and I make this post with much excitement!

You see I'm in my last few weeks of my 3 year games programming course at RMIT in Melbourne, and so I'm starting to reach out into the game development community to really start learning from real indie developers.

Next year I've actually got a lot of things planned with other university students, some who are artists and designers, and I decided it would probably be a good move to relearn torque2d (I did a short course on iPhone/iPad development for it a year ago) mostly due to it's ability at rapid prototyping.

I'm actually nearing the end of an iPhone game in which I made in cocos2d, which we'll be my very first title *gulp*. We're going to submit it to apple near the end of the week, so that should be interesting...

Anyway, I just thought I'd make this post to say hi to all the fellow developers out there, I hope to read and learn a lot from you guys over the coming months, and hey maybe i'll be able to teach you guys a few tricks here and there as well :P

Welcome to the forum! Gem Thief looks like one of those games like Angry Birds where you can play it for hours and not realize it, lol.

Just so we don't flood the Blogs with messages, if you want any help, post a question on the forums. Most likely I'll see it as I check the forums everyday, and you get the added bonus of other (most likely more capable) individuals helping you.
