Hi all.

Sorry about the long time with no news on this but life happens and i had to put this project on the backburner for a while. I am now back on work however.

Because of the pause there's really nothing to show yet, but i decided to talk a bit about the sprites and general graphic work in this game.

Now, i am no artist per-say. My skills on this field are quite limited. I will have to use these meak skills on stuff like manu and general GUI, but envirnment and characters is something i would rather leave to more skillfull hands.

Luckly, there is the internet. And the internet is filled with wonderfull people and i was lucky to find one of them. He's name is Reiner Prokein and he has this nice site called Reiner's Tilesets where he hosts a all bunch of art (both 2D and 3D) amongst other things, that he let's anyone use on projects (commercial or not) as long as due credit is given.

Here's his EULA (sort of) if you're interested:
Quote:Models made by Reiner Prokein, Copyright 2011

Email: reiner.prokein@t-online.de

These Models are freeware. And can freely be used to create games. Even commercial ones. I just want my name in the credits in this case.

The meshes and textures are not public ware though. Please respect my copyright. You can use them freely. But you are not allowed to sell them, nor make any other things with it that directly competes with my page. Like uploading it to your page so that others can download them. Besides that, use it for a game for example, and the result is yours then :)

The Zipfiles contains the meshes and textures in different file formats.

Have fun :)

So i found he's site and it was a god sent. So now i have Wolves and Chicken to play around with :)

Of course you can't use it out of the box as he doesn't use Torque but with a little work i now have a few resources set up with some of his work

As for work on my project, I have decided to use an animated sprite as a mouse icon, only I have found that sceneWindow2D::onMouseMove isn't called ever if you have a GUI pushed on screen. Guess I will Have to create all my GUI's straight into the level onstead of as a GUI element. Luckly beeing a board game, that means i won't have too much work with that. Just with creating the images, wich i was planning to do anyway, even for menu buttons.

Well, back to work now. Hope all your projects are moving along well. Best of luck

LOL

actually the artist meant that blue and green one to be a rooster but i actually rather have it to distinguish the chicken from each player by making them different colored - same with the wolves, different colors for different players
