Warscale 87 - Artifacts and tactics

Hi everybody!
I spent some time playing Migic The Gathering Tactics. I don't know if you have played it but to be honest, other than the game graphics which are really great, I couldn't find much difference in the gameplay and I can even venture and say Warscale has more features than said game like Artifacts and customizable avatar. Don't take my words, go on and test both games.
Anyway, the game is so similar that I can't but wonder if they copied Warscale. I remember giving the idea of Warscale to a producer and we signed an NDA and everything on the older version of Warscale which is indeed even more like MTG Tactics and we did everything just a couple of months before Wizards of the Coast announced their new game. So I just can't do anything but wonder...
Fortunately one of my intentions of registering my game in both game development contests was to demonstrate Warscale existed and was running way before the Wizards version just in case I get a nasty surprise from their lawyers.
I really regret not having all the model packs from MMOWorkshop. In that case Warscale could have been way more varied. Still not able to compete with MTG but would pack more punch. Unfortunately he guys at that site decided to cancel sales. I really wonder why. Probably to protect their game against newcomers.
And of course I plan copying some ideas from their game...
Anyway back to the schedule.
Banner of the Strong
In Warscale, artifacts have a dual purpose. They are objects of power with abilities but in a metarule level they take the place of global enchantments in other games.

Indeed, this artifact affects all the table making hard to just pack small creatures or severely maiming them. Cast two of this thingies and the game is basically blocked. I tested with a single one and the game became quite painful, exactly the purpose of the artifact.
Banner of Fury
This is a Fire variation of the artifact. Given Fire is the realm of combar and damage, the effect of this one seems quite straightforward.

So for a couple of mana you just boost all your creatures. Not bad.
Thats all for this week. I plan to push this version in the following days and then will be out the next three weeks. I will probably be quite busy the next weeks in other things non game related. My wife made me promise not to say anything so I can only say its quite demanding of my time. So I decided to round up and release this ASAP.
See you then and luck with your projects!!!

Well, I have copied a lot of things from them so I just don't have any moral authority to complain :)
And yes... I was one of the suckers who fall for the D&D4... or D&D for dummies which is how I prefer to call it.
Are you offering help to compile the Mac client? My OSX experience is close to null (not my preferred OS) so any pointers will be helpful when the time arrives (soon I hope).
Luck!

WotC may have been first, but their practices are really borderline illegal. They don't want to allow people to turn cards sideways, no matter what they call it!

Depends on the engine used, but TGE and TGEA are both working. Hopefully they'll get a Mac version of T3D 1.1 sometime soon after the Windows release :)WotC may have been first, but their practices are really borderline illegal. I also hate that they were somehow able to patent the turning of a piece of cardboard. Amongst other gameplay patents owned and used by Hasbro. That's who owns Wizards of the coast in case yall didn't know.

Lol. They always try to make new games based on MTG and they always suck! You'd think they might have learned by now.I also hate that they were somehow able to patent the turning of a piece of cardboard. Amongst other gameplay patents owned and used by Hasbro. The number of lawsuits involving Hasbro must rival software patent lawsuits. They've been involved in quite a few, on both sides.

What about a Mac client? Need any help with that at some point?
