What now should be #1 priority

Hey guys,
I know that at the present time this post might look misplaced, but I'm assuming that Torque will stay in business as usual so... here's the main problem.
Currently I'm forced to develop my Facebook games (one just about to be published in 10 days) using Unity 3 because T3D and TGB still don't have a web player and game streaming ability.
The more I use Unity 3 and the more I hate it... guys... we really need badly a serious web player, maybe better than the Unity web player (which is quite limited).
Assuming that Torque business will continue as usual, this feature should really be #1 on the company's feature list, and this goes for T3D and T2D (TGB) as well.

@Alain: there has been no more info about that statement so it's pretty much a mystery :)

T3D is not a general game engine, unless you make heavy source changes, you are pretty much stuck in FPS genre. I dont know man, if TP provided a T3D web player, I am afraid it is for FPS only.

For T2D, web player makes sense. You can accomplish much in 2D games via torquescript. T3D is not a general game engine, unless you make heavy source changes, you are pretty much stuck in FPS genre. I dont know man, if TP provided a T3D web player, I am afraid it is for FPS only.

@Sei: I'm not sure why you say so about T3D. It's FPS ready, that's true, but you can create any game with it.

Pardon the ignorance but I've never used T3D and am not sure what the difference is...

Well, the existent plug-in is just web deployment, not a web player.

@Patrick: a web deployer actually downloads and installs the game on the client machine, then executes it, while a web player is a browser embedded engine capable of playing the scripted game (while downloads it if stream capable).

I'd be happy with either for TGB at this point but it seems a web player is all but required for anything with a payload greater than a MB or two.
This is issue is the reason I've not begun any new TGB projects but have been focusing on Flash instead. With Kongregate's recent announcement that it's supporting Unity games - it's even more frustrating for me as that is where I'd like to be deploying my TGB work.

Ultimately I want to break up a large game into chapters and make them playable through a common website. This way users can enjoy the story of a game in smaller segments, and not have to download a single 6 GB file.

Yes something that works like the Unity web player so that I could put serialized games on the web would be perfect. I don't like how Unity renders 3D environments at this time, that is why I am still with T3D for Tribulation Knights.Ultimately I want to break up a large game into chapters and make them playable through a common website. Pino what about that thing that Sweet @$$ poker used? or has that gone away.
I also like Pino's new casual picture and seeing that his desk looks like mine!

Kongregate is now supporting the unity web player, we should also have a web player so we can publish on portals like this. Now that IA is no more focusing on getting us something so we can publish on the existing portals and facebook would be great.Pino what about that thing that Sweet @$$ poker used? or has that gone away.

For the Kongregate thing... it's sad... I'm using Unity to go on the web but I'm not happy with it... the only two good things about Unity are the Web player and the asset pipeline: besides that it's a quite buggy engine and the bug submissions are counted in tens of thousands (the bug counter for my last submission is 387731). We really need a Torque Web Player!!!
BTW, I guess all devs' desks are the same :)

The Sweet @$$ poker has a custom downloader that does more or less the same thing that the T3D plug-in does. It's a nice work but it's not good for a game that's more than a few MB.For the Kongregate thing... it's sad...
