Merry Christmas! Since this kit is being released on Christmas day (Yes it is Christmas where I am), the kit is going to be on special for $24.95 USD instead of the usual $34.95 USD (~30% off) until 01/01/11.
The Hidden Object Kit has been completed! The Hidden Object Kit is a new starter kit built for Torque 2D, it is a kit which will allow anyone to create a Hidden Object game or a Spot the Difference game quick and easy!
The kit has the following features:
A simple main menu system
A hint system
Particle effects and sound effects
Completely commented code
2 unique levels including a Hidden Object level and a Spot the Difference level
This kit offers a Hidden Object game where you can play 2 different levels, one being the Hidden Object Level and the other being the Spot the Difference level. New levels can be created without any additional coding as datablocks have been made which will allow you to set dynamic fields and properties of an object within the editor.

Spotting a Difference!
Using my last hint to find the hat.

Also your kit does not make clear what engine it is for.. is this for TGB? TGE/TGEA/T3d? I'm not buying a kit I don't know what engine it is for. You need to make that clear. Will

The price seems a bit high for a two level example thou. Even if it was in TGB/TGE. Good effort overall, nice shots but you need more details about the kit then what you posted. I'm interested, but not buying til I get more info and a list of whats included in the pack and what engine it is for. Merry Xmas, and thanks for posting. I hope the kit does well for you. Will

I did state that it was for Torque 2D in the blog description, I just didn't add it in the blog (silly mistake :D)

I'm sorry I was not very clear in the blog, the kit does offer a small game which is already built in with the kit. The extra coding is if you want to expand on the kit yourself.Quote:The Hidden Object Kit is a new starter kit released for Torque 2D.

Quote:The price seems a bit high for a two level example thou.Really, $25 is too high? Will it take you more than an hour to create everything provided by this kit? If you're interested in creating a hidden object game, and there is a kit available which may save you a few days work, it is worth much more than $25, or even the full price of $35. A silly statement to make, quite insulting actually.
Great work and good luck Sam!

Hi Sam, when are you gonna be back ? I have a small question for you :)

Yea, it is high. The examples are only that, examples. I already know how to drag and drop and script setup objects such as these. Still, insulting? that was rude to say just cause I state the truth. Hell, I spent $130 on your product and I still never got it up and running cause of serious lack of docs on how to use the product right. so please, keep your thought to yourself, especially if your going to throw out insults. We are allowed our own thoughts on weather one thinks a product is too highly priced. I'm allows that thinking, and I stated what I felt at the time and still feel. the price is too high for a 2 level example one can learn on their own.
If I made anyone mad, so be it, but that is how I feel.

So you don't offer a complete ready game kit? We have to add code to the kit? So what your offering is a two mini level product, with basic coding to jump start this and if the user wants extra levels they have to code it in themselves?
