Platform Game Art - Feedback Please

Platform Game Art - a series of 3 packs I'm looking to create for Torque 2D and see if anyone is interested in these for their games. The first batch of artwork is amost ready and to get some initial feedback on these as I've never done any 2D game art before.

What's left to do? Some more platforms, animations and backgrounds to complete - ensuring that they are also Torque 2D (TGB) ready, so there's little or no work to do in making them game ready.

There doesn't seem to be many 2D art packs around, so if you are interested in this being a pack? Please let me know and watch this page for an update and I'll also follow up with another blog in a week or so, otherwise I may just create a game out of them, just so they don't go to waste!

The 2nd pack will be a number of player characters and weapons, the 3rd pack has yet to be decided on but may also include more detailed backgrounds, obstacles and particle effects to complete this series.

In this art pack, so far: Mud, Grass, Snow, Water and Lava platforms, some are animated for visual effect, a variety of gemstones (small and large), bridge with torches and fire. Also included in this pack are 5 basic backgrounds and 2 animated characters included free as shown (from the Gem Collectors Platform Pack #2 - Characters and Weapons - coming soon!).

Cheers!

A few of the characters in the next pack below. It would be good to get some feedback on them also. My gut feeling on this is that the type of game this artwork would be aimed at is for the younger generation.

Ugh! I must really suck at 2D art... bit like those pop singers who go on things like Xfactor who think they can sing! I would have thought one piece of feedback would come in.. ahh well, maybe I'm that bad.. but could improve.. yeah, we'll leave it at that :)
