Hello everyone, at last I'm very happy to present you in-game screenshots of our project - Kingdom Defense. :) Although art and gameplay numbers(health, damage, building costs etc.) are still in a WIP stage, I thought it's a good time to show you where our game is heading.

As you can see we have went a long way since our last updates. Plus we have a lot of other assets and enemies that still didn't implemented in game due some team management reasons. Like this Troll for example. But rest assured we will show you new screens with new elements as soon as possible. :)
And now some bad news. Our main programmer Matt Jolly, that worked at Kingdom Defense for about 3 month, went missing. Last conversation that I had with him was at May 27. Since than I didn't received any news from him, neither he told me about leaving somewhere. I've tried to contact him by all means but, still couldn't reach him. It's a shame because it was grate to work with Matt, he is true professional at what he was doing, and we understood each other perfectly, plus he almost finished everything that we needed for KD demo and even more. I just hope that Matt is ok, and that nothing bad happened to him.
Anyway, currently our team consists from two modelers, one 2D artist, one UI artist, one animator, and one audio and music composer. And after almost two month hearing nothing from Matt, the whole team decided to move on and try to find a new programmer for our project. We can offer a possible income share, or we can create some high quality art(3D models, textures, animations) for your project and you can do programming for ours. So if you are interested in any of our propositions feel free to e-mail me to valen_ua@yahoo.com.

Those screens look incredible. I wouldn't have guessed they were a WIP if you hadn't said anything.

Gee whiz that artwork looks good! Everything looks so clear. Especially the UI elements. Even lilly pads in the water...nice touch!

Valentine, got a question for you, :
how do you manage to get that cartoonish rendering look in your game,
been trying to get the same results on mine but no success.
i do not want the outlined cartonish look which looks like a comic book drawing, I want to achieve the look like yours.
is this by setting up some sort of shaders?
or it is all in the textures you use,
tried the cartooish textures myself but they dont look the same while being rendered.
any suggestions?
BTW is this on T3D you are making your game?
thanks in advanced

2Pilotcap232: We are developing our game on T3D, and we reach cartoonish look only by means of the textures. Also we don't use any specific photoshop filters to make our textures cartoony, all our textures are painted by hand.

Looks absolutely amazing. You should definitely try a port for the iPad/iPhonr after your release!
