Journal Land Pick of the Week

Just Glad to Be Here - rmadsen discusses some options for getting into the industry as a game tester, programmer and artist

Greetings and salutations to new Journal Land citizens InfectiousGames and EternityZA!

Project Updates

* Once a Bird - Demosthenes' latest game Avatar Man, a Pac-Man-like game using XBLA avatars, is now up for peer review if you're a developer club member

* Mark the Artist Fights the Future - Prinz Eugn is seeking feedback for Angels 2X's main menu illustration

* Journal of Lethargic Programmers - more Outerra screenshots. I love planetary engines. So awesome.

* Old code never dies, it just fades away - code_zombie has a small update to the news on his website for his Android RPG/Dungeon Crawler Deadly Dungeons

Gamedev Stuffs

* Journal of dbaumgart - dbaumgart details the various gaming podcasts he listens to, and asks what you queue up in your playlist for videogame commentary. Note these are gaming podcasts, not strictly developer ones, but of course that still has bearing on what we do

* Promit's Ventspace - Promit has been looking into object relational mapping systems for SlimTune and discusses the positive points he has found in NHibernate, a port of the Java library Hibernate

* jpetrie's journal - jpetrie describes how he is using DropBox in combination with Subversion to manage his configuration files

Other Stuffs

* Any Colour You Like - benryves' latest project is "Text and filled shapes for the dsPIC33 VDC"

Thanks for dropping by Jason Z, O-san, BSVino
