Not as fancy as some of the amazing work other community members have been doing, but I thought I'd show what I've been learning this month so far. Torque 3D has some of the most amazing tools within it's editor, it's truly spoiled me in ways and I'm looking forward to playing with it more and learning from it.
I'd like to hear what you guys think on the shot, yeah the rocket launcher is mismounted. I reexported the mesh, forgot to save the Mount0 bone and boned myself over. I can only learn and grow through feedback, so everything is welcome.
I'm thinking about making a thread to post my progress in, rather than spamming the blog. Course this blog sorta goes against that, but I'd like to hear what you guys think: progress blog or forum thread?

Nice, where did you get the grass?

Oh, and Blogs for progress. It's easy enough to view any given user's blogs; and no matter how you track a thread, a forum thread is bound to get lost.

I like the darkness! Glad to see a less than eye searing sky in your screenshot. Although you would think that a moon that bright would let you see a little better ;)Oh, and Blogs for progress. I only do the forums between bursts of Torque productivity, but check the Blogs and "What's New" page everyday even when not doing Torque related work.
Spam the Blog, only a small handful of members make regular Blog posts anyway.

Shaun: I grab my foliage from either Turbosquid or dexsoft-games. You have to be really careful looking for stuff on Turbosquid, as some of the polycounts can be outrageous for use in a real time environment.
Steve: I'll try to do a brighter shot for you next time. ;)
Mike: I've had people comment the same thing regarding the brightness (or lack of it). I think I have to tone down the moon a bit, as I've found if I brighten up the level it's atmosphere seems to diminish. It's a thin line, that only tweaking will solve in the end. On a tech side, I've tested the shot on about a dozen screens so far and only some TN panels show it as abnormally dark. I'm considering getting an IPS panel to make sure all my colour and lighting work will be as close to possible on as many displays as possible.
The screenshot was all made with stock T3D tools; terrain and foliage creators. They were quick and enjoyable to work with. I'm really looking forward to 1.1 for the brush and forest editors along with the stronger TS docs.
