A whole load of Torque 2D iPhone games

I've just finished teaching a 12 day course on iPhone game development at RMIT in Melbourne, using Torque 2D. Here are some of the games the students made in the final 4 days of the course:
We had a good mix of students attend the course. There were 40 in total, most of them were artists and designers, but there were a few programmers too. None of them had used Torque before. Everyone got to run their games on the actual hardware - every workstation had an iPod touch provisioned for development.
The course has proved pretty popular so we're going to run it again early next year.

Amazing news. One of the NHTV (Breda, Netherlands) International Game Architecture and Design groups is using Torque3D for a comics-type action game (called Ultratrack). Screen shots to be posted after the game release party. Although 1st block students *have to* use A7 Gamestudio or pure C++ code for their Gamelab 1 games, a few teams want to move to Torque3D the next block.

What generation of Ipod touch was used in the video? Plus, are these games made only with Torque script or did you guys had to dig into the C++ code too?

We used 2nd generation 8Gb iPod touches for the course. These games are all using torquescript without any engine modification. We were running iTGB 1.2 on the course, but once Torque 2D for iPhone is ready for release we'll probably switch over.

Dean: haha, I'm afraid not! RMIT has a very nice agreement with their students - the students own the copyright for everything they make at the University. Which means they can go on to commercialize these games if they want to. I actually have to ask them to sign a copyright release form to allow me to use their games in this video.

Do you have an online version of the course I/we could buy?

Thanks for the video! I watch it once in a while, when I need a little extra motivation.
