DayOfWar: New Tech Demo

I have released a new Tech demo for my game DayOfWar. This new version contains many improvements to the previous version.
One of the biggest improvements is the seamless edges.
As I have stated before in previous blog posts , AtlasSphere are made of 6 terrain geometry data sets and 6 clipmaps and the biggest problems with this approach is getting the geometry and the clipmap data to appear seamless. The current version uses a plugin created for L3DT to realign the data then export to an AtlasSphere. There is still some texture work needed to be done in the exporter but the geometry appears very good.
Another improvement is a multi-detail system.
What this basically means is that just like a blended terrain system the detail shader displays a different detail texture based on the opacity map.

There has also been a significant update to the lightmap system for AtlasSpheres.

I plan on improving the detail mapping to allow relief mapping.
If you would like to try the new demo then you can download it here.
