Hi again one and all,
Been a while since I decided to close the studio down but I'm happy to say I'm back and stronger then ever before. I'm happy to say the music making is going good, still working on a few new tracks for my trance CD that I'm hoping to release for games in early 2010. Yeah, the first CD will be a game based project, not a club project as I had first hoped for. I'm really getting into the music design side, exploring a lot of new sounds and beats. Nothing to really show yet but it's coming along backstage really nicely. Better then I have actually done in the past with my Ambient Sound packs...
Well, I'm happy to report, Digital Lightstorm is coming back bigger and better then it has in the past. I'm working closely with a few ideas and I want to get this new site up and running with style and looking bigger and brighter then I've ever had it looking... Working slowly in the background on it and will upload again to www.dlsstudio.com once its done and going again. I'm going to ask our tech guy, Mike Rowley, if he could put our forums back up and running once the server gets re-adjusted. I had it deleted and now I'm bringing it back and getting everything re-setup for the new ride...
I'm proud to say I'm working with a small but great team of people... first off, myself, the captain of the ship. I will be over seeing projects and doing my thought processes of characters, levels, and story. Lets not forget my talent in music and sound... then we have Mike Rowley, who is a name here on the boards. I consider him our tech hand at both TGEA/T3d and the forums side of things... a great guy to know that's for sure. Then we have Robin Byrd who is another Swift Driver like myself who is going to do the voices for the evil lady in Beyond The Abyss as well as the Character makeups on each in the game. She will mainly be a helping hand to get us through the character dev side of this game...
We also have Carina who is lead modeler to the game. She's working mainly in Maya and does schooling for character design in Cali, so we're in good hands there. Shes also helping work close with me on the character design to polish the character specs once they get done and model the actual look of each. Stuart and his lady are working on the concept art to the game and are mainly responsible for TGB art in the new games we're working on that side of the studio...
Also, more new news... we're opening a sub area of the studio for only 2d games... called Hobby Farm Studios which will be where we do all the TGB and anything 2d side of things will happen. Also, all future content packs, ambient sound packs or CD will come from that side as well. Digital Lightstorm will be the main house for the bigger 3d games using TGE/TGEA and T3d. I'm even thinking splitting it off again for only t3d games but not sure as of yet.
Well, that's more then enough to keep you all wanting more... watch for more to come in the next few weeks. I'll let you all know whats going on with the web site when it launches again and Beyond the Abyss is back up and running... I'm glad I took off time away from a bad break up to get my head on right and we're back into the action with the game. Thanks everyone for supporting me, I needed the time away to clear up and get ready for a better come back. I'm here to stay. Oh and lastly, you can always email me at my perm email... dlstorminc@yahoo.com. I usually reply to all emails...
Thanks for reading and watch for my next blog soon! Enjoy and be safe!

Kory: Yeah a special friend lives out there, that's all I can say for now and she inspires me to keep doing what I'm doing. :-)
Daniel: Thank you! Great to be back!
There's still a lot to do and a long road to travel yet on the game. I'm working close with a few people to get the game up in T3D and the new audio package teasers will be coming around Halloween time... Thanks to everyone for the huge support you all gave me. I'm extremely glad to be back.
