Yes, you read correctly! We're pleased to announce that our Depth of Field and Screen Space Ambient Occlusion Shader Kits are coming to Mac!

As you can see, the kits are already ported and running on Mac OS X. We're just looking for a few beta testers to try the install on their Mac and give it a 'thumbs up' before we release. So, if you own one or both of the kits and you'd like to try out the Beta on your Mac in the next few days, leave a quick comment below or send an email to info@ubiqvisuals.com (please include your ubiqvisuals.com account name). We'll get in contact with you shortly.

Oh, and the best part of all? It'll be a free upgrade! :)

Awesome news ... congratulations.

I am unfortunately waiting for my Mac to arrive so although I own both kits I won't be able to offer any Beta testing. :(

Oh, I think we at Phantom Compass can do a little testing for ya! :D
Bring it on!

@ Robo: Yes, both kits are compatible with FSAA... in fact, they look better than ever with it :)

@ James: Awesome. It was actually Phantom Compass that "encouraged" this port. I've emailed the kits over to Tony already, so you guys should have them.

Great work!

Will users who purchased through GG be able to participate in the beta, too? If so, I definitely would like to give SSAO some testing (haven't bought DOF yet). Email in profile.

Hi Rene,

For now, to keep things simple, we'd like to limit the beta to customers who have purchased through the Ubiq store.

@Lorne
Is there any news on this? Has the port been finalized and released? If so, will the respective ports be available to customers who have purchased through GG? (Please :)

(In all honesty, I find it a bit annoying that it makes a difference where I purchased the product. I wasn't even aware at the time of purchase that it could be bought directly on the developer's website--probably would have gone down that road then.)

@Rene
Yes, it's been finalized and released :)

Unfortunately, as a third-party developer I don't have direct access to our files in the GG store. I sent the new SSAO files to be uploaded quite a while ago (I assumed they were up), but perhaps I need to email again. I'll get back to you.

@Lorne

Thanks a bunch Lorne. Very cool of you.

Great news!

Double-checked my account to make sure I wasn't overlooking something. SSAO kit version is 1.3.1 and Windows only. Probably stuck somewhere down the submission pipeline :)
