Live and kicking on Facebook

Legions is now live on Facebook!
While there are still niggling worries as to why, for example, Facebook deems it appropriate to sometimes fail to load your friends' list (it's a straight JS call to their API with what one would think is a minimum of fuss), I'm pleased with the feel and performance of the app overall. It's been a ridiculously fast sprint to get it delivered, with every single bit of technology (backend platform, middleware, Facebook itself and other previously nonexistent features) being completely new to us. The occasional "the connection was reset" entertainment that Facebook provides also bode well for future development :|
Thanks to our daredevil platform team however, the integration of the actual game and web bits into the site went smoothly for the most part. In the future, I would like a bit more time between introduction of new, site-changing features and the need to implement them, but I guess that's what those "Live Development" tags on Instant Action are about. If you ever wondered what that means for you guys playing the games, wonder no more! It's really about us hauling ass to get shiny new things incorporated into the site as fast and as solid as possible. :)
As to what's coming next, we grunts are not sure yet. There's a lot of exciting Legions-focused things in the pipeline, including expanding the PlayLegions.com site, expanding the FaceBook site a tad - but for now we have a bit of a breather and are looking over FB and seeing what's broken, what breaks entirely too often, and what's working (so we can steal it and use it later). Pretty standard stuff, really.
I'm also taking the lull to check out our very own TGB. While it's probably still too much for what I have in mind, I think there may be too many tools to just discard it and go for straight code just yet. If you happen to know the perfect toolset for making a turn-based dungeon hack variant, please let me know. :)
