HVS's The Grinder - A Game Based on Fan Feedback

With only a month since The Grinder's great E3 reception the guys at High Voltage Software are already letting out a little more information about the game. In a recent Developer Diary post on IGN producer Josh VanVeld describes some of the changes that they have made since E3 and talks about how the game is still at an early enough stage that the fans can still have an impact in how it turns out.

The new additions to The Grinder are 'Save The Sheriff' gameplay and a new scoring system. 'Save The Sheriff' works exactly how it sounds, somewhere in each(?) level of the game will be an NPC character who needs your help. If you can find that character and protect them from the monsters you'll get a monetary reward at the end of the level to use for equipment upgrades. Hit the link below to check out some videos of these modes in action. That Sheriff totally looks like Paul Blart Mall Cop.

The guys at High Voltage are awesome. I was lucky enough to spend a good part of the day at their studio. Just an amazing facility packed with talenty goodness.
