Mini Makruk has been released in the iPhone App Store. It is the final of 4 "mini chess" games that I've published in the app store.
As was the case with Mini Shatranj, the launch price is $0.99. So it's no surprise then that it comes with the same set of features... hint, undo, restart, 1 or 2 players, 5 difficulty settings, etc, etc...
I like to think of this game as a full utilization of my code and art assets. The code is 99% identical to the other chess games and the art is, in fact, a refreshed theme that was cut from Mini Chess. All 4 chess games are derived from my initial port of Mini Chess (for Windows) from TGB to iTGB.
My next release will not be a chess game. Instead, it will be a Carcassonne-style game, Starcassonne. My experiences with the chess games prepped me well for the challenges this game posed. But that's a topic for another blog!
