Random Characters

--In response to a comment made by William Lee Sims on my last blog, I have made a small "game" demonstrating puzzle 11: Tangle of Assassins, to demonstrate that I have a small amount of coding experience. Tangle of Assassins can be found here: www.mediafire.com/?dtt5qnombi2.
I spent a total of about 6 to 7 hours on it, and its entire purpose is to demonstrate the concept of puzzle 11 in my previous blog.
In addition, I'm also going to write some short ideas for non-player characters for video games.--

1. Joran the Bold, a knight who refuses to use weapons or armor in battle. He claims his strength and valor are so great that it would be unfair for him to wield any weaponry.
Optional Twist #1: Joran is no stronger than a normal knight, maybe even a little weaker.
Optional Twist #2: The real reason Joran doesn't use weapons or armor is because he's terrified of metal and doesn't want to touch it.

2. Valysa, the Bounty Hunter. Valysa is a zealously feminist alien who refuses to take female bounties. Her favored weapon is a plasma saber, and she also carries a grapple-hook pistol and a rifle loaded with incendiary rounds.
Optional Twist #1: She has never had a chance to properly use her grapple-hook pistol.
Optional Twist #2: The reason Valysa is a feminist is because her father tried to kill her several times when she was younger.
Optional Twist #3: Valysa is actually male, pretending to be female.

3. An old man who looks rather dazed at all times. He believes he is the last person he met, and actually has any powers/abilities of the person he believes he is. His new identity comes into effect after his encounter with someone is over.
Optional Twist #1: The old man is actually a famous performer, long retired and believed to be dead. Once someone calls his performance name, The Doppelganger, he will return to full consciousness with complete control of his powers.
Optional Twist #2: In addition, the old man's clothing changes to match whoever he believes he is.

4. Lorlyl, the Tongueless Thief. At a young age, Lorlyl stole from an evil wizard. The wizard caught Lorlyl and let her keep the magic item she had stolen, but he cut out her tongue as payment.
Optional Twist #1: The item she stole was a mirror that reflects magic.
Optional Twist #2: The item she stole was a cloak that allows its wearer to fly.
Optional Twist #3: The item she stole was a book of incantations.
Optional Twist #4: Instead of her tongue, the wizard cut out her eyes.

5. Theodore James, the Businessman. Theodore James' favorite hobby is appearing before the player from the most unlikely of places, handing the player a new mission or a piece of intelligence, and then disappearing from the same place he came from. Theodore is very jovial and always seems to have just the luck to avoid any danger himself, even as the player is constantly threatened.
Optional Twist #1: Theodore is actually a very small robot with an advanced holographic projection system and minor magnetic force propulsion drives (which allow it to carry small documents or items).
Optional Twist #2: Theodore is a retired ninja.
Optional Twist #3: Theodore is an angel in the guise of a human.

6. Resa, a hacker who follows the player quietly. Resa carries a pistol and a sniper rifle and is equipped to break any level of electronic security the player comes across.
Optional Twist #1: Resa is actually an enemy agent who is leading the player into a gigantic trap.
Optional Twist #2: Resa is largely cybernetic; early on she is killed, and then reincarnated as an AI in a gun. The gun isn't particularly bad, but its primary feature is its ability to open electronically locked doors after a given amount of time.

7. Vory the Twisted. Vory is a small, pale, humanoid creature. He is scrawny, fast, crawly, climbing, and possesses a parrot-like ability to mimic voices. Only the player ever sees him, and even though no one notices it, Vory is secretly the big evil overlord that is trying to rule the world.
Optional Twist #1: Vory has the ability to turn into an evil dragon.
Optional Twist #2: Vory is a master engineer and mechanic, and the big evil overlord is actual a large mechanical armor controlled by Vory.

8. Prose, the talking Raven. Prose always speaks in poetic verse, and knows a few lines of magical/psionic poetry that allow him to animate, command, and control plant life.
Optional Twist #1: Prose is a young sorceress who was cursed. Upon her curse being broken, she is able to speak normally again (though she may still mostly speak in poetic verses) and swears fealty to whomever saved her, in her gratitude.
Optional Twist #2: Prose is but one product of a haunted mansion full of strange and powerful beings.

--After completing this list, I realized some things may be taken humorously and some things may make you wonder if they were written to be funny or serious. My standpoint is that you can take it however you like, I'm not soon to be offended either way. Please leave feedback in the comments section, that would be very much appreciated.
A little about myself, I am a 17 year old high school senior with some creative potential, and I would very much like to help someone with a game or be on a team in some way, just for the experience. If you are interested at all in my help or want ideas for anything, please email me at NaralosUdal@hotmail.com.--

Wow! You've got some creativity just ready to be used!

I played your game for a 5 levels. That could almost be a puzzle game in itself. I definitely see the potential in a game filled with puzzles that this would be something interesting to come across.

@William: Yes, lots of creativity! And I've always wanted to make video games. I've been making up games my whole life (my earliest memories included!) and I'm very excited to some day be on a team.

@Omega: XD Omega! Fin is the end of the game. Xp You beat all of the levels! There weren't very many levels and it's not a complete game, just a demonstration of that puzzle.

Is there another puzzle on my blog anyone wants to see demonstrated?

@Naralos: Very cool characters! I'm working on a sci-fi rpg/pvp game. If you're interested in taking part in planning out some of the places / npc characters or even factions in it, let me know. You can find more info about the game (Xenocell) amongst my blogs or at www.xenocell.com which may help you decide if you are interested.

I can get you a very detailed world map and some world design docs. We can also talk about the background story - and the general gameplay story over some instant messenger app. The broad sketches are laid down, but the finer stuff - npcs and their stories, quests, relations, smaller factions - are still to be designed.

I can't pay for this (and I can't say for sure that I will be able to), but if what you are looking for is experience, you are more than welcome to join - I could really use the help of a writer / designer with a fresh mind.

Hey Konrad!
I looked over your stuff, and it looks very awesome. I would be very excited to join in on this project! Please send me an e-mail at NaralosUdal@hotmail.com when you can, and we'll work things out from there. =3
