ROM12s platformer Mine Enemy brings back classic memories

The development crunch is over and as developers finally rediscover sleep the net can enjoy the fruits of their long toiled effort in this years Christian Developers Network SpeedGame!

This year we had 19 entries, another jump in growth over the previous years, the entries are from small teams or individual developers all focused on creating a fun, creative, polished game based on the teachings of the Epistle to the Galatians.

GarageGames went above and beyond for this years SpeedGame, contributing their hottest and latest: Torque3D Pro, along with killer sidekicks iTGB and TGB to this years winners!

Jestermax brings back the funny in his TGB powered Adventure/RPG/Dance/Delivery game: Chronicles of Jestermax II

We decided that this years judges would be the community, so anyone can join in and vote on who they think this years winners should be. If you'd like to participate, you can create an account at our site: talk.christiandevs.com and join in the fun. The judging period will last until next weekend (July 4th), giving people a lot of time to play the speedgames and cast their votes.

Those games look really cool! :D
It's great that GG sponsors these indie activities.
Maybe next time i'll join too!

About the voting, with prizes added now, isn't it a bit too easy to just create an account and vote? Or are there restrictions on who can vote and who not?

Also, maybe it's a good idea to get people to rate different aspects and based on that place their final vote. E.g. "Graphics 3/5 Sound 1/5 Gameplay 4/5" etc. So developers have a good idea what was good, and what wasn't, and you know what the vote is based on.
Maybe I'm too suspicous but for T3D I could imagine some people would pull out some stunts. :P

I too am in the competition, and you'll likely see my game shortly... It's be SWEET if you joined... Although the site says Christian Developers, we've had more than a few Atheists and non-Christians if that's stopping you....

As for the voting, it appears that he's making a poll and people will vote the best game based on four categories. Mack is the Admin, so I'm sure he has something up his sleeve to combat those issues and we've talked about them a lot.

Hey Florian, thanks for your comments. :) For future blogs I'll be updating them with new screenshots as well. We've had a solid turn out for this years SpeedGame.

We haven't annouced which prizes go to which category or how they'll be split up so I'm not too concerned of people vote spamming for a single category to get the much sought after T3D. I've also been keeping my eye on registrants since the SpeedGame started and compairing things like email similarities and IPs to do my best to ensure that their's no funky voting going on. :)

Thanks for posting, Mack. I tweeted this on the GG Twitter account to see if we can get you some more voters. :)
