Cyber-Wing Public Beta Released

Allright! Well some very early-morning oil burning has yielded us the first shipped public beta for our game, Cyber-Wing.
Cyber-Wing is a realtime strategy/action hybrid, where you control a transforming jet, build and issue orders to units, and capture bases as you try to damage your opponent's headquarters to destroy it and win the game. It has its roots in games like Herzog Zwei with a strong dose of blizzard-style unit mix and high gamespeed. Throw onto that a treehouse made of Quake I, and you've got something close to the mark.
It's not really aimed at the popcappogo-word whomp crowd, nor at the sketchbook graphics stick figure goo indie crowd. This is a hardcore game with guns, tanks, robots, and explosions. (No insult intended, i have made both abstract indie and casual games in the past myself and I do love them)
But nothing does it for me like hardcore RTS and action games, so this game is very special to me. We have been playing it internally for a few months now and we enjoy it a great deal.
without further ado, the beta:

250 megs. Visit www.cyber-wing.net for more details.
Server's up. Have fun playing and observing games, and please offer feedback on our forums at

At the risk of being premature here, I'd like to issue some thank-yous, first to Garage Games. No organization exists which has done so much for independent game developers. Without this technology, 3D games would have forever been the realm of the modder or the hardcore programmer but never the independent game maker. Second I'd like to thank the following vendors who have provided me with excellent products:
Our concept artist Sergey Kondratovich (http://serjjart.com/)
Our modellers Blackbow Studios (http://www.blackbowsoft.com/visit.html)
RRGTS sticks and twigs, great product such a low price for so much stuff.
BGCliffs pack from Konrad, great product at a very low price.
I also used Tank Pack and FX Pack, which are also outstanding resources
Finally, thank you to the community, your comments have helped a great deal in giving us the energy to keep on going and guide us in the right direction.

I can see from my metrics that people are succeeding at downloading it, you just have to keep trying or wait until i get it mirrored, and I apologize for this inconvinience.
Thank you.

My webhost isn't the best, there are some problems with the large download. You should get a file size of 247.84Mb, anything less than that is not going to work. Thank you.

Hey guys, I'm back! I'll be in the game all night in case anyone wants to try it out. Sorry to those who joined and found nobody on the server to play with last night, give it another shot tonight!
