Diabolical Dungeon Props Released - Wizard Keep Props Coming

by Roger Cotton · 06/09/2009 (1:50 am) · 7 comments

I have released my first 3D content pack called, "Diabolical Dungeon Props." They are 24 fully textured low poly props for use in games and animation.

You can see renders of the objects and purchase the pack at: www.eboncourt.com/public_html/products.html.

Since I'm a guy who likes to provide even more value, I have decided to create fifteen more props to add to that pack as free updates. Anyone who buys the pack now will receive the new objects as they are completed.

The additional props will be:

Spiked Wall Trap
Corridor Spear Pit
Gelatinous Cube with skeleton, shield, and sword inside
Oubliette Bridge
Chained Skeleton
Rotting Corpse
Support Beams (corner, corridor, doorway)
Key Ring on Hook (with five keys)
Candlestick and Candle
Rusty Lantern
Archway with Portcullis
Archway with Door
Wall-mounted Metal Ring
Weapons Rack with Sword, Mace, and Morning star

In addition to this content pack, I am also working on a Wizard's Keep Props pack.

So far, I have 2 of 33 props completed.

You can preview these props here:

I have never created a product like this before, so I hope it is something that will be of use in fantasy style projects. I thought about doing a wonky fantasy style, like Christophe's Frogames packs, but I opted for this style, instead.

What do you think?

The Wizard's Keep Props will include the following props:

1. Open Carpet Bag with Compass atop Cloak and protruding Wands
2. Staves in Wooden Holder
3. Giant Hour Glass
4. Giant Open Tome atop Carved Wooden Podium
5. Carved Trunk (foot of bed)
6. Ornate Standing Mirror
7. Round Sitting Table with Crystal Ball and Chair
8. Open Wardrobe with Hanging Clothing, Boots, and Wizard's Hat
9. Mechanical Arm lying on Dusty Worktable, and Stool
10. Strange Mechanical components
11. Laboratory Equipment (pedestal and mortar, scale, beakers, vials in holder, etc)
12. Cadaver on Dissection Table with Tools on Tray
13. Dissection Wall Chart
14. Shelves on Wall Rack, w/ Organs in Jars
15. Skeleton hanging on Stand
16. Skeletal Wall Chart
17. Disposal Floor Grate
18. Atlas Globe on Stand
19. Rack of Maps and Scrolls
20. Strange Telescope
21. Aquarium full of Sea Monsters and Fish
22. Enchanted Casting Circle
23. Carved Wall Calendar with sliding date elements
24. Familiar’s Cage with dead Imp
25. Leather Lounger and Foot rest
26. Trap Door
27. Grandfather Clock
28. Quill and Inkwell
29. Cauldron in Hearth
30. Tall Bookshelf full of Books, with Rolling Ladder
31. Wrought Iron Spiral Staircase
32. Door with Glyphs
33. Tabletop Abacus on stand
34. Obelisk with Manacles and Chain
35. Magick Mouth

I will be separating minor props out from the combined objects in order to allow users to place them as they wish.

Subsequent content packs will be the "Castle & Courtyard Props" pack, as well as the "Unholy Crypt Props" pack.

If anyone wishes to have a particular type of prop included in any of the packs, please let me know!

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I want to thank those of you who purchased the pack. I am heartened by this! Please tell others what you think. I could use the sales.

I have three new objects modeled for the Dungeon pack. As soon as I am able to texture them, I will be e-mailing them as a .zip file to registered owners. I will continue this process until all 12 groups of Dungeon Props are completed.

I project completion of five props by the end of this month. The rest will be completed by the end of July.

In August, I will be one-third the way through the next props pack. If I don't get over-burdened with my client work and side projects, I should have the Wizard's Keep Props pack done by the end of September.

Konrad, once I have completed all three fantasy prop packs, I think I just might start a series of sci-fi prop packs.
