And I'll be saying "hello, June" next week. Time is flying!
2 Weeks and Counting!
Not a single person tried guessing in my last Sitrep what momentous event for GDNet is coming up soon.
LAME.
One more chance before I announce it next week, and again the clue is here.
New Resources
* LOGIN Games Conference - Coverage of the LOGIN online game developers conference, with conference overview and select session coverage
* Game Design Round Table 1 - The Death of Death: This forum round table discussed the pros and cons of failure cases in games and how it relates to challenge. Overview of the discussion inside, and link to the complete thread
* WinMerge - Need a differencing tool that works at a larger level than just two files? Is your budget low? Is your budget zero? Well then, we might have just the thing.
* Moving Noise - This feature introduces a drop-in Perlin noise variant useful for quickly generating organic procedural functions that change over time. You can use it to create scenes, textures, animations, and sounds. If you modify it or do something interesting with it, the author would love to know
New Events
* Rosetta Stone Summer Game Jam @ Harrisonburg, VA, United States - July 17, 2009 to July 19, 2009
* Workshop on Network and Systems Support for Games (NetGames 2009) @ Paris, France - November 23, 2009 to November 25, 2009
* International Conference on Computer Supported Education (CSEDU) @ Valencia, Spain - April 7, 2010 to April 10, 2010
* International Conference on Web Information Systems and Technologies (WEBIST) @ Valencia, Spain - April 7, 2010 to April 10, 2010

Oh, and I've been a WinMerge fan for several years now. I think I discovered it via somebody here at GarageGames, and now the guys at work at the day job have started making it part of their standard toolset.
