Greetings everyone!

Today I will continue to tell about features of Game Mechanics Kit 1.2.0., which is due to release next week. All current owners of GAME MECHANICS KIT (available at developers store) will get this update for free (including version for T3D that is also coming with 1.2.0).

Soft Bodies for Game Mechanics Kit *Physics Pack*

Soft body dynamics is an area of physics simulation software that focuses on accurate simulation of a flexible object. That is, the object is deformable and you can do flags, cloth and other non trivia objects.

GMK provides easy to use script interface and there are couple of examples so you will be able to create and configure parameters of your own soft bodies in a minutes. All you have to do is provide a .DTS object you want to use as soft body and set some variables for this.

The other change is that you can shoot ragdolls with weapons now.

The new version of 'Orcs Rule' game already includes Soft Bodies as well as ragdolls and rigid bodies along with Cut-Scene Editor demonstration.

Clicking the buy button now! Love your GMK! CutScene are so much fun love Machinima from HL2 fans.

Questions:
1)T3D version did you take the new GG Physics route.

2)T3D version how was it on the port enquiring minds want to know!

3)Do you think your kit will run side by side other kits say FK or FPSKit.

Product ID 397 acquired!

@OmegaDog
Thank you very for the purchase! Email me if you'll need any assistance.

>1)T3D version did you take the new GG Physics route.

Yes. There will be Bullet and PhysX version of GMK Physics Pack for T3D. T3D uses PhysX and since our PhysicsPack is fully abstract it was relatively straightforward to add our RigidBodies and RagDolls to T3D.

>2)T3D version how was it on the port enquiring minds want to know!

Little easier than I thought :)
Game logic and GUI components (the main components GMK deal with) are quite similar to the ones of TGEA 1.8.

>3)Do you think your kit will run side by side other kits say FK or FPSKit.

I didn't see these kits in action yet (what is FK by the way?). However we'll do our best to make GMK compatible with these ones, like we did with Advanced Character Kit already (read here for more).

The Forest Kit, that was in the GDC footage, I will be purchasing it for educational aspects as well as new T3D features that are not in GG plans to inlcude! The Forest Kit is a FINISH KIT! not like most starter kits it has everything to make a Tropical Crysis Clone not that I ever liked the game Maximum Suckage! Maximum Choices to pick from when I'm getting blasted in realtime. The game's "Good Craphics" not so good at playability.

Man Im going to have some funn on the Unity forms I will slightly mention the nice craphics, and see if they bite. lol meeezz a bad doggiezz!

This looks great, the updates to kits like this is always great and the news about T3D support the selling point for me :-)

If I purchase now do you have a beta for T3D that we can test?

Because if you do I will purchase today.

thanks

is the GMK physx integration the same as the one supplied with T3D?
or is it a new integration?
I ask because there is a problem with projectiles not doing direct player damage to players/ ai players, and if you have been able to overcome this problem

@deepscratch

>is the GMK physx integration the same as the one supplied with T3D?

Yes. It's the same integration. GMK Physics Pack just uses its abstract layer to connect to T3D PhysX.

>I ask because there is a problem with projectiles not doing direct
>player damage to players/ ai players, and if you have been able to
>overcome this problem

I will look into this.
