T3D: Twilight Wars...

by Quinton Delpeche · 05/22/2009 (6:43 am) · 12 comments

Been porting some of my Twilight Wars stuff across to T3D from TGEA and thought I would show one of the preliminary screenshots.

This is a custom player and weapon (Sci-Fi Soldier from TSquare) and a scratch built piece of Terrain from L3DT. I did have a custom SkyBox in ... but I need to make some changes in order to make it compatable with T3D. I also tried to put GroundCover in ... but failed miserably ... anyway, hope you like.

I will add some more screenies when I make more progress ... but I just had to share. :D I know ... I am so lame. :P

Hi Quinton.

Hopefully not a silly question but, what do you mean by ground cover? You say you tried to put it in but failed.

@Steve: I am working on it ... was waiting for the first request. :) I will finish one of this weekend and post it up A.S.A.P.

@Peter: Groundcover objects are one of those things that I can never get right ... this is NO reflection on the engine just my inability to actually implement a working Groundcover object. But never the less ... I will get it working.

I have now added two new skinned player models ... and some of my assets ... will include them in the video. :)

I'm guessing it was re-rigged?
Or it is using the stock Kork animations. If you change it with the Motion pack, it will look a lot better.

Yeah I do ... I have decided to use another model for Twilight Wars as its look and feel is more in line with the goal that I have in mind for Twilight Wars.

Unfortunately I have had to re-install my DEV machine this weekend so I haven't managed to get as much done as I wanted to ... but I will post my progress here in due course.

This is now the third time I have changed models ... and it is now the last. :)
