LOGIN Coverage Tomorrow
I've been backed up thanks to spending pretty much the entire day Tuesday out of the house, mainly thanks to having to appear in court. I haven't started writing up my LOGIN sessions at all, but I am encouraged by the fact that it didn't take me anywhere near as long as I thought to do my IGC East coverage.
Big Day Coming Up
There's something very special and awesome coming up soon. Like, in 20 days. Can anyone tell me what it is? It's in relation to this site and if you want a clue, see this page.
We'll have more details on this very soon.
New Resources
* Twitter API: Up and Running - Twitter is trendy. O'Reilly has a book on how to leverage Twitter's API so that you can be trendy too. Read about the book here.
* AnkhSVN - Got Visual Studio? Want it to integrate seamlessly with SVN? Don't want to pay any money? Well, this might do the trick.
* Simple STL Logging System - With programs becoming larger and larger with more and more code, having a detailed logging system can make the difference between hours of searching for code, and knowing the exact place to go to fix a bug in minutes. This article explores the use of the very handy IOStream library included with boost to outfit the familiar clog class with the tools to include as much usefull details as possible, without even changing your code.
* Independent Games Conference East - A look at the 2009 East IGC conference with some session writeups, pictures, and overall experience
* Reducing Flicker in Console Applications - This quick tip will show you how to properly clear a screen in a console window to update it without flickering
New Events
* Paris Game AI Conference @ Paris, France - June 10, 2009 to June 11, 2009
* Engage! Expo - San Jose @ San Jose, CA, United States - September 23, 2009 to September 24, 2009
* GDC Canada @ Vancouver, Canada - May 6, 2010 to May 7, 2010

yea. Thankfully I have friends in NYC so I won't have to take a train in to be there by 8am (!!) for community service next week.
