Torque 3D Development - River & Road Editors

It's been more than two weeks since the last Torque 3D blog, and I know you guys are antsy to get some hands on time with the Torque 3D beta. We had planned that for this week and we're QA'ing a build over the weekend that may be good to go next week, but I didn't want to wait until then to get you guys some more Torque 3D goodness. I'm sorry I've kept you waiting this long... Okay then, on that note, let's introduce Lara!

Lara's Bio
"I co-founded Prairie Games in 2004 and shipped Minions of Mirth the following year. At Prairie Games, I designed, produced, handled PR/Marketing, ran the office and did whatever else needed doing. In June of this year, I began working at GarageGames. I'm anxiously awaiting the spring release of Gauntlet for the DS. I love buffalo and Buffy the Vampire Slayer!"
"I'm currently working on a series of video tutorials for Torque 3D. The first of this series focuses on the new River and Road Editors. Next I'll be working on tutorials for the Material Editor, and Live Asset Updates."
If you've been watching the GarageGames Vimeo channel, you've probably noticed the fantastic work Lara Engebretson has done to create high quality video tutorials to demonstrate Terrain Editing, using the Collada Loader, and Creating Objects in Torque. Lara's now turning her attention to Torque 3D, and even thought we don't have a beta out yet, we do have two great tutorials to share for using the new River and Road Editors available with the Professional license.
Let's have a look!
The next time I blog, I will be pointing all of you Torque 3D owners to a BETA DOWNLOAD!

Thanks for the updates. I saw on the Tools menu, Mesh Road Editor, is that going to make it in or maybe that was just a prototype that wasn't finished?

@Peter - I believe everything is apart from the trees, that's from Sickhead Games Forest Kit.

@Peter if that's true then i hope me finishing my assets and T3D comming out has even timing,

The road and water tools look nice, what i find best is Lara's voice in the video, she is very well spoken and easy on the ears, you should redo all videos with her. No offense to the guys voices :)@Peter if that's true then i hope me finishing my assets and T3D comming out has even timing,

@Peter: Everything you see in the EDITOR shown in the video is in the beta, but we won't be shipping the South Pacific level with the beta AFAIK.
@Huan: If stabilizing a game engine and squashing bugs were an exact science with no uncertainties, I'd be happy to give you an exact time. But of course, it's more like climbing the final stretch of a tall mountain where the rock is loose and the edges get steep. We can see the summit, but it's easier to slip than in the switchbacks =)
Or if you prefer less metaphor in your answer: no, I cannot give an exact date or time.

I believe there has been no mention about T3D unicode support. Even though it is said that it has been supported in higher version of TGE/A, I think it isn't complete, especially with chatting message input and output.
When TGE days, I managed to make it possible by myself that my game players could send back and forth their text messages in real time. Do I have to do it again when T3D is out?
BTW, the video tutorials are awesome.
