TGE SciFi Construction Kit EA & Jungle Ruins Pack WIP

Hey Everyone!

I've finally made a bit of progress on the TGE Version of the SciFi Construction Kit. The NonLightmapped Models/Version is complete and the Demo levels are uploaded into the accounts of those of you who have previously picked up the Kit.

It is still EA (Early Adopter) since I'm still planning on some optimization work and polishing up of the documentation and such. Here are a few screens in game of the TGE Version (pretty simple lighting at this point, but very functional):

It's still the EA price of $22.50, and probably will be for at least several more weeks (or a month). But I'll give everyone a heads up when it's going to go to it's regular price.

Oh, and I guess I ought to post a link to the site: www.monsterpacks.com. It's there along with several Digital Lightstorm Studios audio packs and all our other content packs.

I've also been working on a Jungle Ruins Pack. I've seen a few artists work around the Angkor Wat Ruins and snagged a bunch of reference photos and have been trying to build up from what I've seen some Ruin components for TGE/TGEA (and eventually when I get a hold of a beta) T3D.

Here are some preliminary screens. Some of the geometry will change a bit, along with several LODs but it gives you an idea of the WIP:

Should have some more updates within a week or so, I'll keep you all posted as thing progress on these and other things I've been working on.

The jungle ruins pack seems like a good idea. Looking forward to that one, and anything else you do in the future.

@Everyone,
Thanks for the great comments! It's great to be part of a encouraging community!

@Maxim L.
Yes, I was checking out your sci-fi characters and they'd make a nice fit. I promise I'll try soon to get together with you and do some kind of affiliate thing with plimus.

@Jaren,
For MAP/DIF work it's prettymuch 3D World Studio. I come from a "Family Game Weekend Counterstrike/Half-Life Modding" background, so 3D World Studio was a nice fit for me coming from Hammer Editor. I usually do all the exporting through Constructor, for some reason it seems to give the best results against just a command line Map2Dif thing.

For mesh work I'm trying to get a handle on Silo and Lightray3D. Silo is just really smooth, while Lightray has an old school 3D Max vibe. All the final DTS exporting is done through Milkshape 3D. In my opinion for an indie it is an essential tool to have.

For textures I use mostly a pre-Corel version of Paint Shop Pro (Version 7 to be exact), sometimes an old version of Photoshop 5 PE that I have, but not too often. Seamless Texture Generator, Crazy Bump and as of late Shader Map Pro kind of round out the set.

Thanks again everyone!
