GDNet: Weekly Sitrep

I figured I should pause right here and now and try to present you all with a snapshot, a snapshot, mind you, of all the stuff that's currently spinning an F5 tornado around my very being.

* I just dispatched the GDNet Direct newsletter two days late. Had to wait on an ad link and also just forgot until yesterday
* I need to gather up what remaining IGF articles I have submitted to me and post them
* I'm smacking emails back and forth like ping pong between myself and the 7 other people currently advising/organizing the GameX conference in Oct
* I'm trying to get the NJ IGDA Chapter elections closed up so I can tally votes, just had to send out email reminders to about 25 members who haven't voted yet
* I'm responding to "nice to see/meet you" GDC emails and wishing I had time to send out my own
* On that note, the 2-inch high pile of 80 biz cards I brought back from GDC stares at me from under my center monitor
* I have 3 red (overdue) tasks in Outlook, including finding new events for this entry, and 6 more that'll turn red if I don't get to them before midnight tonight
* There are 3-4 articles in the editorial queue for publishing here on GDNet that I still either need to get approved, followed-up on, or assigned to an editor
* several more article proposals need to be followed-up on as well
* some awesome business proposals from GDC regarding GDNet need to be followed-up on internally with the Ops team
* I have 1000+ Reader feeds awaiting my attention
* Luckily most of those do not include ones I need to write tomorrow's Daily
* I have to write tomorrow's Daily, preferably before tomorrow
* I have two weeks worth of GDNet Journals to catch up for posting on Friday
* I have 5 LinkedIn invites I have to approve from the last two days, and will probably have more tomorrow
* I've probably spent too much time keeping up on my Facebook and twitter statuses, but I believe that's integral to my job of keeping up relationships with people
* I have like 25 sessions to write up from GDC, and will probably only do 1/4 of them any real justice
* I have a little over 1,000 GDC pictures to post (okay, not really since more than 75% of that number is GDCA pictures and only like 25-30% of them will be posted. But still)
* I haven't had a chance to look at other people's GDC pics
* I still have to coach 2-3 hours a day at the gym
* I kinda have to eat every now and then
* Sleep is good too, but I can kick that aside for a few days if I need to
* I have to round up pictures of everybody and email them out to each individual (speakers, award recipients, etc). This gives GDNet much good vibes so it's worth it
* I have a Instructor's Resource Kit to still finish from a book project I started back in February
* I have to write my review of this year's GDCA show
* I have to write my GDC postmortem
* I'm afraid to look at my bank accounts - anytime I haven't checked them in over a week usually results in something bad.
* Gotta take 30-40 minutes to workout at least 3-4 times a week, lest I become a blob of blubber attached to a desk chair
* In the ~10 minutes it took me to write this I got 6 more emails and another LinkedIn request

I suppose this is where most people would say "FML" but, this is pretty normal for me. People tend to attribute me to a robot or cyborg, but they obviously don't know how bad that would really be:

Well, bad for all of you. Awesome for me.

That is all. I have work to do.

Your name has been added to my digital kill list, Tony ;) Prepare to be efficiently nulled. At least, as a programmer, you can appreciate it.
