Repopulation Screenshots and Update

It's been a couple months since the last set of screenshots were posted. A lot has happened in that time. You can find full information in the Build Notes on our web site (http://www.therepopulation.com). Here's a quick summary of the major changes that have happened since the last update.

- Mikael Petterson (Evanion) has been working to improve our UI system, among other things. This is still a work in progress, but a preview of it is included below.
- Our new character models are now in-game. We're still working on getting a large series of motion capture animations on them. Screenshots of these models are also listed below. The models themselves were created by Blackbow Studios, while Kevin Grove has handled the rigging and animation.
- We've added two new outdoor zones. The second of these zones is serving to help test our PVP, siege and control systems, which are still under construction. We'll have another blog on that when they are further along.
- We now have a weapon particle system in place. Energy shields when activated will also display a visual effect. Along with this a slew of new items have gone in, using a strict balance system that Joshua Halls designed.

There's a lot more detail to go along with this, but I'll conserve space here and if you want more information you can view our Release Notes on the web site. Looking ahead, we're looking forward to porting to Torque 3D. I think its coming out at a pretty good time for us, as we will have the opportunity to be one of the first titles to ship using it. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

It looks like you've been inspired by planetside's ui.
