After a few hours of working on other art assets I took a break from the normal routine, opened up Constructor and at 3am, it came to me.. after waiting for our baby to arrive (which is 7 days late!), waters have not broken yet!! a DAM suddenly appeared in my mind. Strange, but true. So, I decided to create a dam, added some water for good measure and the results appear before your eyes.

Anyone want it for their game?

Today, I added an additional building structure to the Dam.

Edit: then added a helipad.

What a great idea! A dam is really cool.

7 days overdue?! Don't let them run a train station when they grow up!

I love the dam, if you decide you want to release it, I would use it.

Nice simple idea, but effective. Also shows that you have good world building design ideas.

@Gareth, Steve, Michael - thanks, feedback is always good. Keeps me going :)

@John - yes, I plan on releasing it as a pack over the weekend. I'm going to add value to it first, improve on the texturing and add a few additional features in there. I'll be accepting donations for this pack, not a fixed price as it was fairly easy to create, so it can be whatever you want to pay for it, or can afford. Making it very Hobbiest/Indie friendly.

While i dont have the same texturing talent as Julian, I thought i would do a deserted, post apoc style Dam.. :)

Nice. Edward - Makes me thirsty looking at that picture. I hope there is water on the other side, maybe slightly radioactive with some mutations going on? lol

If you want to use the texture in the screenshots above it's part of constructor (concrete texture), which I've not included in the pack. Below are 4 of the 14 included textures for the dam.

Added some additional features:

14 textures now completed for the Dam, these should fit almost any game genre. Remember that this is a pack where I'm only asking for a donation. Whatever you think it's worth or you can afford so I can continue to enhance on this pack and develop further donation based packs like this, making it very indie friendly.

I like it. Reminds me a lot of a dam near my home, but that one doesn't have cool Gothic archways and a walkway underneath. Nice!

I like the link to buy the the pack. Very subtle humor.
