As promised (if three days late), I have updated the disk for "The Game Programmer's Guide to Torque" so that it is compatible with TGE 1.5.2.

Note: I have test run this under Windows XP and OS X 10.4.11. If anyone has problems under Vista or OS X 10.5+ please post the problems here so I can address them promptly.

You can download the disk on my new support page.

As part of the above release, I am closing my Hall Of Worlds. site and opening my new site: Roaming Gamer, LLC. to replace it. This site is still pretty barren, but it follows the format I hope to use for a long time to come.

I'd love to hear feedback if anyone has time.

What would you ask for? - Redux
downloads.roaminggamer.com/gglinks/090210/questions.jpgMy last blog has gotten some great responses, and I've updated it to reflect that. However, I'm still looking for more ideas, so if you have time, please check it out and give me your idea(s).

Note: Feel free to post as many ideas and as many times as you want. I'll continue collecting and collating. Also, if you see something you want to work on, I encourage you to do so. I obviously can't do them all.

That's all for now!

Please forgive any slowness folks.

I think the site is getting nailed by multiple downloads of the disk, which is a zipped image weighing in at about 160MB.

Hello again folks. I've cut 60MB off the download by adding an extra step when you use the disk contents.

Originally, you could use it immediately after downloading, but now you need to copy some executables into place first.

Please read the /readme.txt file for instructions.

Edward: nice work on the book, are we ever going to see a TGEA 1.8.1 or T3d book down the road? It could really use one. I think the shaders and materials are the most misunderstood in TGEA by most newbies, including myself who is trying to play catch up on the sweer eye candy. Got any good links to learn more about either? Thanks and keep up the great work,

Will

How useful is this to those of us who have TGEA 1.8.1 ?

I would love to buy a reference but I am using TGEA 1.8.1 now and will be updating to T3D ASAP.
