Ai:
Whahay! The enemy actually does something! It caught me completely on the hop because I forgot the 'enemy' A* would try to do-the-right-thing and attack from a weak side. As a result my first foray into an enemy attack was a complete slaughter on my side.
FrontEnd:
This is coming along nicely. Its beginning to look more like a game than like a advanced tech demo.
Sound:
After trying to get some sound sampled in with my bog standard motherboard audio I've ordered a better soundcard so I can get something sampled in without it coming complete with 30% hiss. My wife's volunteered to do the 'informational' voice overs. I'm going to put in on-screen verifications of speech so I dont ignore the deaf market. [ Yes folks - there IS a deaf market for games. ]
Artwork:
Several artists have asked me for some concept artwork. My scanners turned up (its toast) so another one has been ordered. You guys should get something in the email from me tomorrow.
Testers:
Dont worry guys! I havent forgotten you. I'm just trying to get known niggles out of the way before unleashing it on you.
Physics:
Theres plenty of room for optimisation here. If I drop 30 crates into a small valley it does run into some performance problems. (Basically, turning physics off for static objects).
