Game Name: Foundations of Hope Online
Technology: TGE + Torque MMO Kit
Genre: Christian Fantasy MMORPG
Company: Lethal Games Corporation
Game Website: Foundations of Hope Online
While this wasn't on my can't-wait-to-do list, it was one of those mundane tasks I really needed to get done. My previous website still had images that came from the web template and I had used the website as template on my game guis. The problem is that I had no clue if the images were swiped or if they original so to be safe I went through and created all my own images for the website which then helped recreate the new game guis. Ah, no more worries somebody will say "Hey, why you using WoW images!?" That'd be bad :)
Besides updating the images, I used the time to update alot of the outdated info on the website. I had my Book III was suppose to be release April 2008, but it is on hold until I finish the game. So was getting beat up about where Book III was. All the screenshots are now up to date:

Also as my side web project I decided to setup a project tracker area for the players to be able to see what has been developed and what is still to come.

So here is a look at the new website.

Why have your name splashed all over? It is all about marketing. Unfortunately I hate it. I am not the person to be in the spotlight, but in the publishing world, it is said that it takes a reader seven times to see an authors name before the name sticks with them. Then as they walk through the store, they see the name and it causes interest. They don't remember where they saw the name(it could be good or bad) but they know the name.
And from the new website I then create the new game selection guis.

Then finally I have the new ingame guis setup trying to use some of the new web images:

Looking good, regarding the music, I didn't find the music on the site too intrusive like some other sites I've seen.

The one problem at the moment of using bitmaps for gui is that we don't have the transparency working if mouse is not over the gui. Hopefully that will be added and you will be able to see through the interfaces until you hover your mouse over. The interfaces are also closeable. I just have them all on for the screenshot.

I'd have to agree if the whole site was music. Hate that. But it is only the screenshot section and adds in with the slide show presentation. The one problem at the moment of using bitmaps for gui is that we don't have the transparency working if mouse is not over the gui. Nice chilled music, but I would have turned it down a notch.
Also must agree with #1, in-game GUI elements do look a bit big and cluttered, but good to have the option to close them. Is that lsat screeny 800x600 in-game? Obviously larger screen resolution would make the GUIs smaller.

The interface elements on the game are too large. They take too much from the actual play screen. Otherwise it looks pretty good from the screenshots.
