21-6 Productions
[*] Weekly Team Meetings - Our second team meeting was on Monday evening of this past week. A quick, one-hour meeting describing progress and defining tasks for the last two weeks of Phase One were discussed. As well, a regular time for the weekly meeting was agreed upon - which will be Sunday nights at 9pm Eastern.
[*] Incorporation We had a meeting with a lawyer this week and decided to incorporate out of Colorado, which means we have to find a new lawyer. We hope to have this completed in the next couple of weeks considering this little set back.
21-6 Server
[*] Image Gallery Justin worked on the interactive image gallery for the 21-6 site this week. This new section of the site will allow the 21-6 artists to publish their works in a central location. As well, the ability to browse the images (both public and private) will be available.
[*] Hit Counter Justin added a hit counter to the 21-6 site last Saturday. There have been 150 hits already this week, which isn't all that exciting but will give us a great way to measure increased exposure to the company and the project.
Artwork
[*] Artwork Design Document Lucas has created the first version of the artwork design document, which details the look and feel of Myrmidon. The art team is using this as the inspiration in creating concept art for the first Phase.
[*] Concept Art Don has submitted another image of how a Myrmidon might look. This image focused mostly on the outfit and was very inspiring.
Development
[*] Online Design Document Marlo has compiled a list of open design issues and started challenging the team in the private 21-6 forums to detail these open topics. Topics heavily discussed this week include: Background Story, Character Classes/Skills, Psionic Abilities, Team Play, and User Interface elements. A large portion of time this week was spent on hammering these issues out, especially how to handle character classes/skills.
[*] Player Selection Around 1am this morning, Dave wrapped up the player selection tasks on the Phase One development schedule. These latest updates include select closest, next, and previous player.
[*] Dynamic Mission Elements Justin checked in code this week to randomize the skybox textures, fog color, cloud textures (up to 3), cloud movement speeds, and cloud heights for a level. As well, 4 sets of "skies" were created to show this feature off in the Research Station mission. A few bugs were also fixed relating to lighting a mission when dynamic mission elements are used.
[*] User Interface Justin made some tweaks to the user interface in Myrmidon this week. These tweaks included: new background images for all main screens in the game, repositioned controls, removed mission briefing, and changed "loading" messages to be consistent with the Myrmidon storyline.

[*] Voluntary Severance It's official! My severance request was approved on Thursday and I will be working full-time for 21-6 Productions starting November 1st.
[*] New Computer As I was typing this status report, I received an email from Dell telling me that my computer has shipped!
