Sup sup,
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's. Things in real life have been rough here as I was one of the many people affected by GM's troubles. So it's back to job searching for me fun, fun =/.
Anyways, it's been slow going on my model as I have mostly been a TV (tribes vengeance) addict latly lol. Oops! Tribes Vengeance is the younger brother to Tribes 2, which I still recommend getting a hold of a copy of Tribes 2 to full around with so you can see what the original TGE could do (modding it helped me get interested in the scripting part of TGE).
But slow and steady as she goes, I have had some progress on my rigging/weight painting. So I thought I'd throw up a quick screeny to let you all know I haven't given up =p!
So here she be:

I've got a decent and I stress decent bicep movement and a decent wrist twist motion down, so now it's just mainly finishing up the weight painting of the last 2 fingers on the left hand. That will finish off the left arm then it's on to the right arm then the back and then the legs, I can never stress enough how I should have mirrored the model.
Mirroring the model would have saved me half the work even when it comes to weight painting. Sigh...lol learned my lesson though let me tell you.
Just incase anyone doesn't know the modeling program I'm using is Blender 3D, a totally free 3D program and thanks to some guys in the community there's a pretty decent exporter for blender to get your models in TGEA format. Here's the url if you're interested in checking out Blender:
http://www.blender.org/features-gallery/ <--just copy paste that into you address bar and give her a go what do you have to lose it's totally free and even supports things like burning in normal maps.
As always opinions/comments appreciated.
Thanks
Sid.

Honestly not sure. As I've been rigging I've retouched/recreated certain areas of the model to get better deforms. And of course I've spent a good amount researching and procrastinating (playing games too much instead of creating them =X). Lol ah well I'll get her done. Thanks for the comment.

Scott. Would be good to see a video of your work with some animations once you're done. Maybe a tutorial on the rigging process. I've yet to rig a character. In fact I've got a horse to rig up and animate, which is obviously different on the bone structure, but I'm sure the process is the same. Any pointers?WIP of the horse if you are interested.
