Hello again. I have managed to learn some stuff over the past week or so. I have started out with my own mission and my gameplan is sticking as I want it to. Here is a list of things I did this past week:
Implemented my own mission throwing away the CSK default mission.
The high quality video is much better
Designed my own logo and buttons for the game
Stuff I had problems with but done it:
I wanted to have a direct connection as my game is going to be online only and there is no other need for a server browser. So with the help of the community I was able to do that.
Registration/login: I have the basic UAC 3.3 working I am currently trying to integrate with a cms so people can register and have it so the scores and such will show up on the profile page of the cms.
The combat starter kit i highly suggest, the only real drawback FOR ME is that there is some stuff I needed in there but couldnt implement due to me being a novice at this whole game thing.
Bots........... ahhhhh yes bots. No can do for now, i only hope that I may draw interest in the game to where I can get a programmer who has more talent then me. Bots would make this game way more fun and interesting. But until I either learn it better or someone joins me then i can wait for the bots.
I have a new developer on the team and he is a great modeler/artist so can't wait for my new version of weapons. He will be added later today.
You can see screen shots and such at our website for the game Take Down Online
Thank you for your read and thanks to the community for the help they gave this past week. Until next week from the noob of game developing we will saw you later
