Bobo the Byte.
That is the creative title I thought up in order to augment the storyline that is non-existent in my game. Who is Bobo? Why, you of course. What is a byte? 1000 bits; I don't know. It sounds good.
This version of "projs" is new and improved.
The cityscape parallax layers are a new improvement.
Gaze in aweA similar style to the spheres was given to the turret:
And a mind-blowing new particle explosion effect was added! In addition, sound effects and music was added. I tried to screenshot those too, but was unable.
Lastly, to top it all off, a new adrenaline boost feature was added, along with 3 totally new and challenging levels. Needless to say, all past levels were revamped.
Download Bobo the Byte (6 megs)
DOWNLOAD THE PATCH:
Fixes the difficulty of the game.Download Bobo the Byte Patch 1 (5 KB)
To install: directly extract the contents into your Bobo base folder, the one that contains the executable. (Bobo_the_Byte.exe) Click "yes to all" when it prompts to overwrite files. If it doesn't prompt to overwrite files, you did something wrong.
Hope this makes the game more enjoyable and less difficult.

Edit: And by the way, according to Wikipedia: "The byte most often consists of 8 bits".

Daaaaamn, that is both hard and addictive. I psent 45 minutes trying to beat the first level. On my best run, I got to the very bottom before getting crushed.Edit: And by the way, according to Wikipedia: "The byte most often consists of 8 bits".

Thanks, Taylor! I was hoping it was fun, even if it was a little on the hard side.
I appended a patch to the bottom of the .plan that makes the game a little more reasonable. Feel free to download it and follow the install instructions to make the game less frustrating. If you want. :)
Taylor, you'll probably beat the level that is giving you trouble on the second try at most, this time around.
I want to make a lot more levels with varying difficulties of very similar designs.
I just get too freaking good at my games when I beta test them. As a result, the difficulty gets out of whack, haha. First level, the hardest of all. :)
EDIT:
Haha, 8 bits? alright!

Use the F1 key to navigate a level backward, and F2 to navigate a level forward. (if you have beaten the current level)
The level you guys are starting out on is the sixth level, this is unexpectedly happening because you beat the last beta. Thanks for playing!

I figured out why everyone is referring to the sixth level as the first level. Some FileIO mismanagement occurred between versions of the game.Use the F1 key to navigate a level backward, and F2 to navigate a level forward. (if you have beaten the current level)

If I did the math imediately (less than 1 sec response time) I would get crushed before the last level, or die landing on the turret.
