Happy Halloween!
A few months ago I stumbled across these plans for a awesome Steampunk rifle. So when Halloween rolled around I decided it would be pretty cool to build one for myself and use it as the centerpiece for a "cyberpunk assassin" costume. My finished product definitely isn't as nice as the one I was inspired by but I think it came out really well given that it was my first attempt at something like this. I figured you guys might enjoy some of the "making of" pictures. I learned a lot doing this and it was a ton of fun!
Are you sure want to report that TGEA bug again?
The assembled "barrels" made from shelf brackets and copper pipes.
Cutting out the template and coverings from heavy vellum. A closeup of the bracing holding the wooden stock and "barrels" together.
A full shot of the "barrels" and stock attached. The rounded part of the stock was built up from pieces of heavy vellum.
Waiting for the glue to all dry and a closeup of some of the finished metal details

That just makes me wish all the more that my vault dweller costume had worked out. Stupid Orlando and its not stocking of coveralls. Ah well, The Man in Black seemed to be a hit anyway.
