Zompocalypse Released!

by WesTT · 10/26/2008 (8:07 am) · 11 comments

Well, sort of. We've had what we're going to term a 'soft' release of Zompocalypse this week. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the real release will have to wait until the weekend when the flash version goes live. At the moment you can download the demo of the full version and try it out. In case you do not know, it's a cheesy zombie shooter featuring buckets of blood and gore, levelling up for characters and weapons, six weapons and an online scoring system.

There's plenty we'd like to extend in this game, but I suppose it all depends if we get any support for it. The market will decided if there's any room for this type of title in the indie game arena.

My other goals have been met, learning a lot about indie development and the Torque game engine. To that end I am hoping to have some interesting posts up detailing some of the changes I've made to the engine over the next few weeks. Maybe someone will get some use out of them.

You may try out the demo at Toadtrips Website.

Hi guys. Thanks for the encouragement! And Thak: you rock!

More voice-overs would be great, I think they really enhance the character of the game.

So far, my chances are 39%. Maybe this game helps me raise it a bit.
