Beyond The Abyss Video Blog...

Hi ya one and all,

www.youtube.com/user/dlstorminc is my new You Tube of my complete updates to my new game, Beyond The Abyss. Everything you wanted to know is here... from the design of it to what you might find on each level to what features are in the game. Yeah not the best way for me to talk about gaming but it is another area I'm learning how to take advantage of. I hope you like it and watch my updates as I get them done, I should be posting more every few weeks as I get more features added to the game or content added in... thanks for checking it out and please remember I'm still new to this video thing so please be nice :-)

I find it really cool that you're using video to document your project process! That is cool! I applaud you sir! I don't feel like I would be able to do something like that, mostly because i'm so nervous in front of a camera, also I don't ever feel like I have enough to say about my project that isn't getting anywhere.

I've watched all your videos too. I like the idea!

Sounds interesting. I watched the one video you linked too, but plan to go back this afternoon and watch the rest.

Let me know if you want help with the UI of the game. I can send you some samples of two very different UIs I have done so far.

@ Andrew: Thanks that means a lot. Yeah if the game gets more exposure, maybe it might actually get finished. :-) I figure being in front of a cam isn't all the bad, but when you are staging or faking the performance, the audience can see that. What has helped me is doing magic shows when I was 19-22 many years ago. The shows helped me get out of being so shy. Thanks for watching and hope I can actually complete this game. I figure if eyes are on me, it will give me a backing of hope to inspire me to complete the game.

@Mike: Thanks Mike, hope you enjoy them. I am not shooting on putting people to sleep with them, just like keeping them short so the bore factor don't show through. Trying to keep the energy up on the vids, as long as I'm excited they should be pretty cool. Let me know what you think when you see the rest...

Thanks guys for posting... I hope to have another video up tonight and more on Dr Tec (Scifi guy from here at GG). Then I'm shooting for storyboards, and a prototype test play and then going onward from there. I hope to keep the excitement up on the game, thanks to all you guys who are supporting me on this!!!
