Dark Legions - Initial Development

I begun work on my current project with TGEA 1.7, Dark Legions, about a two weeks ago. Its an FPS/RPG hybrid, with standard FPS-style death matches, controls, etc. The game is fantasy, however, and it is sword/shield based rather than guns. I suppose FPS really isn't the right name for then...
Anyway, I started playing around with the main menu. Rather than buttons with lots of text, I feel that a stylize letter serves as a better filler on the button. Tooltips reveal the the purpose of the button:

I just started working on creating models and art yesterday. The exterior of the only building in game:

And a few shots of the interior:

I'm using volume light to get the sun beam effect. For closed currtains, a very thin volume light is place between the gap in the currtains. Also, I managed to port twSurfaceRefrence over to TGEA's fxFoliageReplicator. The foliage replicator can now be restricted to certain terrain textures. It even works on MegaTerrains:

Finally, thanks to a nice resource, I've got melee combat up and running. I'll post a video of the melee combat sometime in the next few days.

I like your gui and the lighting effects. Both look great. :-)

I personally think that "Mystery Meat" buttons are bad design. That is, buttons that you have no idea what they do until you hover or click on them.

I guess I could add some text above the buttons that explains what they do.
@Zach:
Huh. My main menu does look a little bit like that. Never heard of Dark Ages before, though.
Thanks for the comments guys!

How about some smaller screenshots. They take forever to show up and I'm on a 6mbit connection here.

Ok. Next time, I'll size them down a bit.
