FGE (nearly) 1 year anniversary
Wow, time passes so amazingly fast. It's nearly a year ago I launched the Flight Game Example for TGE(A) and as pre-birthday gift I want to give out a 20% coupon code for anyone who buys the FGE until the 22nd of june, the first anniversary of the FGE. To get the 20% discount, enter the coupon code "SPRING2008" (without the quotes) in the corresponding input field in the payment process.

For those not aware what the Flight Game Example for TGE(A) is, please have a look here and here as well as my blogs about it.

FGE Sales Stats
As some might know, I published the sales stats of the FGE a while back here (scroll down until nearly end of page) and I thought it's a good time to publish some new numbers, after nearly 1 year of beeing on the market. Meanwhile the FGE sold 132 times. 20 times sales via PayPal payment and 112 times via Plimus.com.

That's it for the moment, have a nice day! :-)

Martin

Cool I've been waiting to grab up FGE and it seems like the perfect time for it.

Does FGE work on TGEA 1.7?

And I was one of those numbers - WOOT! That is potentially 130+ games made off of the start you made. Do you feel that you made enough of a return on the time you spent working on it? You stated in your FGE - post mortem that sales where actually less than anticipated, but as more and more developers use it have you noticed an increase in sales from advertisement of their use of the FGE, or has there just been a steady trickle of sales? I was just wondering as it was playing around with Andy Hawkins alpha test for his game BRAVE that made me decide to purchase the FGE myself.

@Stephen: it works fine in TGEA 1.7, just a few simple changes to be made here and there.

Well, yes, feels ok with the amount of sales. Of course, sales could always be better, but I'm not dissatisfied. Like written in the post mortem, I thought in general art packs sell better, but meanwhile I heard that they usually not sell in super large amounts.

The sales were steady the first 7months and then stalled a bit. I guess it's because you always need to make "noise" around the product to keep it alive in peoples mind. There were some slight bumps in the sales curves which seemed to be born out of interesting blog articles here on GG about the FGE. And of couse yes, people like Andy Hawkins are fantastic to have as customers as he keeps posting about it over and over. (thanks Andy btw.)

PayPal did not want to accept the SPRING2008 coupon code. Please check with them. Thanks.
