Wheels Preview

Hi,
I know it's been a long time since I last told you something about my game Wheels. I had a few unfixable bus in the last version, so I decided to rewrite the game. A few weeks ago I purchased TGEA and started development. The Advanced from TGEA is totally true. It's quite complicateted to write games with it. It is really unfinished. I had to change the physical zones myself, Skins do not work, no rigidshape class, recording is broken, speedometer is not working, not all interiors/shapes are working, not working that well on Vista(you need to run a game as Administrator) to name a few problems I had. But now back to the Preview. I changed the wohle concept of Wheels. The mission types have been reduced to extreme missions. The car configuration has been removed and you mustn't select a car. You may think that this is 6 steps backward, but this makes it a lot more difficult. I had to remove rigid objects, sorry, but there is no rigid shape class in TGEA... I added gravity changes, which really make the whole thing interesting. I added a quite interesting feature to the game: keys and doors. The keys need to be improved, but I don't know how at the moment... The main goal of the game is to collegt all items, when you done that, the mission is finished and you can start another one. There's no time limit at the moment. Please tell me what you think about no time limit... As always, it would be great if you could share feedback with me... Now the things everyone waited for:

Thanks David. Good suggestion. With my resetCar I just tried to enable the car to drive, when it just doesn't want to move... But I'll try to enable a way to reset the car back onto the track. I played around with triggers a few days ago, they seem to be not working either... Just thinking about something like checkpoints at the moment.

TGEA might not have rigidshape, but it does have rigid. It probably wouldn't be all that hard to hack it back in. But yeah, you're not the only one who thinks that TGEA is far from a release level product. There is a plethora of lengthy and locked threads discussing it. Last I looked I think it had a 1 star rating on devmaster.net.

The car handles quite well. I will say I had more fun going offroad with it than trying to stay on the track! The brake lights are funky!TGEA might not have rigidshape, but it does have rigid. The brake lights don't work at the moment, I don't know why, if everyone knows, please tell me...
